Chelated ZinCopper is a Chelated Zinc
and Copper micronutrients in granular form. The chelating agent keeps
Zn and Cu in plant's available form longer by reducing the effect of
soil tie-up. Thus, Chelated ZinCopper provides both immediate plant
availability and extended sustained feeding to oil palms in peat soil.
Chelated ZinCopper is 7 times more efficient than non-chelated micronutrients form (eg. Zinc/Copper Sulfete).
Oil palm plantations in peat soil are
applying high use rate (200g/palm) of Copper Sulfate in order to get
results. This is because copper ions in the Copper Sulfate are
positively charged and the peat soil (contains high organic matters) is
negatively charged. Therefore a big portion (90%) of the quantity
applied will be tied-up with peat soil particles.
